Dogs are cute. But their daily deposits can be bad for the environment if not composted properly. Our sister company, Salt Bags created Home Compostable Dog Waste Bags from home compostable bioplastic, offering pet owners a regenerative, compostable and sustainable alternative to their current poop regime. We collaborated with Salt Bags to create a brand that challenges the idea that eco can’t be cool.

STORY & MESSAGING
Tell, don’t sell
Purchasing alternative materials doesn’t mean the end user instantly knows what to do with it. Salt Bags aren’t just selling poo bags, they’re teaching dog lovers how to go circular with their dog waste. That’s why we made education a key component of the product and packaging – printing composting instructions straight onto each individual bag as a handy infographic for the ultimate convenience.
Powered by flower
Eco-friendly products have traditionally been packaged and branded in two vibrant colours… brown and green. Launching an environmentally-friendly product that didn’t follow these ‘eco’ conventions was key to cutting through clutter on the supermarket shelf.
Inspired by the flower power movement of the late 60s, floral patterns evoke a natural, organic aesthetic while helping the product stand out. Typography and colour from the same bygone era combine to create a waste bag worthy of Woodstock.
Green inside and out
A regenerative product demands regenerative packaging. We worked with Salt Bags to source sustainable materials for all packaging, including FSC certified responsibly sourced paper for the outer package and plant-based ink for on pack and printing on the bags themselves. The result is an authentic brand that shows customers how much they really care.
In an era of designer pups in every household and pet content ruling the social airwaves, our offbeat photography style adds another layer to an already engaging brand. These photogenic pups help cut through and gain traction on social channels while launching a groundbreaking product with an important message.
